The fan base for Wrestling events and TV shows in Germany is growing strongly over the last years. Wrestling has changed from a hard combat sport to sports entertainment for the whole family. In Germany there are five TV shows in free TV every week at ProSieben Maxx and Tele5 with growing audience. In addition to this there are several shows at ProSieben FUN. – 52 weeks a year and every week with brand new content. There is no entertainment brand with such presence in TV. The YouTube channel of WWE is one of the most watched sport/entertainment oriented channels world-wide – with more than 4.2 Billion views in the last 12 month. The Facebook and Twitter accounts of the WWE also have strong increasing numbers, especially in Germany.

And there is a great program of licensed products already on the market, among others action figurines from Mattel, video games from 2K, trading cards from Topps, a monthly magazine from Panini, T-Shirts from EMP and the DVDs from Edel.
